About the Project

Strategic Human Resource Management India (SHRM-India), a wholly owned subsidiary of The Society for Human Resources Management (SHRM), needed to create a new identity for themselves that was separate from the parent organization.  Additionally, the website presence was limited to a few pages on the shrm.org website; a new site that would support the mission of supporting the professional and advancing the profession of human resource management in India was needed.  SHRM-India wanted a content management system (CMS) that would enable multiple staff members to maintain content across the site, while still leaving overall control in the hands of a central authority.

Drupal CMS Implementation

Partnering with Navigation Arts, Balance Interactive provided the expertise to integrate the website design with the Drupal content management system to streamline site maintenance. All of the site content is managed through Drupal. Optional page components can be added and removed with the click of a mouse. Many content pieces are dynamically added to several areas of the site as soon as they are created. Content tagging allows for additional grouping of content beyond the formal navigation structure. The site is completely scalable to allow for and seamlessly manage additional content.

Technical Consulting

Balance Interactive provided technical consulting concerning the intricacies of the implementation on the SHRM-India website. The client was launching the new site on a new hosting platform and needed assistance with setting up a local and remote testing site, managing the QA procedure, and other logistical issues associated with setting up a new domain. The Balance Interactive team worked side-by-side with in-house technical staff to ensure that project goals and time lines were met.
